About EarthCheck’s Sustainable Tourism Strategy and Advisory service

EarthCheck’s sustainable tourism advisory service offers tailored advice no matter your destination or sustainability progress.

If you’re just getting started, we can support policy development and action planning to engage your team. If you’re already on the journey, we can support the development of a sustainable tourism strategy to provide direction and guide you to your sustainability ambition.

The process

Tailored to each business or destination, you’ll get visioning, strategy and a pathway to delivery developed in partnership with our experienced consultancy team.

The team will work with you to understand your sustainability vision, your desired outcomes, your current position and the resources you have to achieve your vision. Once we understand where you want to be, the team will support the development of a clear vision and strategy to help you achieve those outcomes within the means of your organisational or destination capacity.

Why this is good for your business

Creating a strategic approach to sustainability embeds it across every part of the tourism business. It becomes business as usual rather than an ad-hoc activity. We design strategies for real impact and real change.

Why this is good for the planet

Businesses with sustainability strategies are great for the planet, and more desired by customers. This approach will deliver environmental outcomes alongside community and cultural outcomes.

We're the experts in sustainable tourism strategy. Get in touch with the EarthCheck team today.

Acknowledgement
of Country

There are more than 476 million Indigenous Peoples, found in all regions of the world, from the Arctic to the tropical forests. They make up more than 6 per cent of our global population.

In the spirit of reconciliation, EarthCheck acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout the world and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Indigenous Peoples today.

EarthCheck acknowledges that Indigenous Peoples are guardians of the forests and biodiversity hotspots we all depend on. Research shows that lands managed by Indigenous Peoples, with secure rights, experience lower deforestation rates, store more carbon, hold more biodiversity, and benefit more people than other lands — including protected areas.

We recognise and support the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), the most comprehensive international instrument on the rights of Indigenous Peoples. The Declaration is a positive document that maps out a path for Indigenous Peoples to be free from discrimination and secure in their identities and life choices.
