Carbon Accounting and Net-Zero Roadmaps

As the world’s leading science-based benchmarking and certification service for the travel and tourism industry, we understand the challenges of decarbonisation – and we know what opportunities exist.

Our online platform aligns with the GHG Protocol and IPCC Guidelines and is CDP-approved.

How we can help

Our support can include:

  • Set your ambition and define your scope and boundaries
  • Inventory and validate your Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions
  • Identify and prioritise decarbonisation and mitigation strategies
  • Create a scalable strategic decarbonisation roadmap with triple-horizon milestones to transition to a carbon-free business

The process

Our dedicated team will engage with you on every step of the process, and can support you throughout your decarbonisation journey.

We help define your ambition, scope and boundaries based on the CDP framework, baseline year and granularity of data. We provide guidance on the data needed, which we validate through our online platform, using recognised emission factors to ensure robust emission estimates, and work with you to ensure your team have established processes to track long-term.

Our bespoke services create a holistic roadmap by helping you establish targets, identify and prioritise emission reduction strategies, engage stakeholders, develop internal capacity, manage and audit data, align with frameworks and report performance.

Why this is good for business and good for the planet

  • Improve resource efficiency, conserve energy and reduce operational costs.
  • Enhance business reputation and stakeholder relationships by reducing environmental impact.
  • Comply with existing and emerging regulations on carbon emissions and climate change.
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to renewable energy to mitigate the impacts of climate change and improve public health and the environment.

EarthCheck Logo

of Country

There are more than 476 million Indigenous Peoples, found in all regions of the world, from the Arctic to the tropical forests. They make up more than 6 per cent of our global population.

In the spirit of reconciliation, EarthCheck acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout the world and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Indigenous Peoples today.

EarthCheck acknowledges that Indigenous Peoples are guardians of the forests and biodiversity hotspots we all depend on. Research shows that lands managed by Indigenous Peoples, with secure rights, experience lower deforestation rates, store more carbon, hold more biodiversity, and benefit more people than other lands — including protected areas.

We recognise and support the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), the most comprehensive international instrument on the rights of Indigenous Peoples. The Declaration is a positive document that maps out a path for Indigenous Peoples to be free from discrimination and secure in their identities and life choices.
