The World Travel Awards in 2018 showed to again be a very successful year for Emporium Hotels, as they were rewarded with two key distinctions at the Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony, held at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards acknowledges, rewards and celebrates excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, and is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.
Emporium Hotels was named ‘Australia’s Leading Boutique Hotel’, however they are no strangers to this standard of excellence, with this year being the fourth consecutive year they have received this highly acclaimed accolade. With the sale of their multi-award winning property Fortitude Valley, Emporium Hotels aim to evolve their already internationally renowned standard with their new flagship the EarthCheck Design Certified Emporium Hotel South Bank. The brand was also named ‘Australia’s Leading Hotel Residences’ for its recently completed Emporium Residences and Emporium Apartments.
Peter Savoff, General Manager of Emporium Hotel South Bank commented on the winning of these awards:
“On behalf of the Owners, Tony and Francine John, we are absolutely thrilled to receive not only one, but two honours at the prestigious 2018 World Travel Awards. These awards mean a lot to us and are particularly special this year, having made the transition from Emporium Hotel Fortitude Valley to our new, flagship Emporium Hotel South Bank. To have the exacting, high standards our team prides themselves on continue to be recognised is absolutely wonderful. We are also extremely proud to be awarded the title of ‘Australia’s Leading Hotel Residences 2018’, with the recent completion of the Emporium Apartments and Emporium Residences, where we can now extend our acclaimed service into a residential setting. You can imagine what an absolute milestone achievement this is for an independently owned and operated hotel.”
