Nominations for the 2018 Queensland Tourism Awards (#QTA18) are now open.

The nomination process takes approximately 5 minutes and involves selecting your chosen category/s and processing the #QTA18 entry fee. There are a total of 28 categories to choose from.
Entering the Queensland Tourism Awards provides a wonderful opportunity to discover the full potential of your business and super charge your annual planning. All submissions receive detailed feedback from our independent judging panel. Entering the awards shows great confidence in your team and often energises and motivates staff. Gold winners from the Queensland Tourism Awards gain automatic entry to the Australian Tourism Awards (categories 1-25 only). QTIC provide a range of resources to assist with submissions as highlighted below.

- Submissions due 21 August 2018 (entrants have close to 3 months to work on submissions!)
- #QTA18 Gala Awards Ceremony is on Friday 16 November at The Star Gold Coast
#QTA Regional Workshop:
QTIC is coming into to region to provide entrants with a full day workshop. The workshops aim is for entrants to come away confidence in writing and completing their Queensland Tourism Award submission. The regional workshops were a great success last year with 36 awards, including 15 Golds presented to those who attended a workshop. QTIC encourages nominees to join us as we look to dive deeper into the submission process. This resource is FREE for anyone who enters or who is thinking about entering the Queensland Tourism Awards
The workshop is faciltated by Matt Smith of The Tourism Smtih, Matt and his team are among Australia's most successful Tourism Awards writers with six Gold, five Silver and five Bronze wins at the Australian Tourism Awards and over 30 Gold award wins at State Tourism Awards over the last 5 years. Matt has completed stints as an Australian and Queensland Tourism Awards Judge and is regularly sought out by awards organisers for his awards expertise.

All QTA entrants are required to be certified or accredited through a recognised Accreditation program, with the exception of a handful of categories. For further advice on the most appropriate Accreditation program for your business, please contact QTIC via firstname.lastname@example.org.

First time entrant webinar - Recording available
The webinar will be tailored to suit both first time entrants and will provide an understanding of the Awards submission process including the introduction of the new online submission portal as well as other important information and tips. The webinar is beneficial for previous award entrants also, providing an opportunity to refresh your memory and pick up on some very helpful tips. Presenter: Linda Tillman, Managing Director of the Tilma Group.
